Troop 50th Anniversary

Troop meets Wednesdays at 7:00 PM (during school year)

Troop 99 Sidney NY is sponsored by the First Congregational Church, located at Main and Bridge Streets, in Sidney.  The troop was chartered in 1961.

The troop is made up of 3 patrols, scoutmaster and two assistant scoutmasters.

The troop has a goal and plan to have an outdoor activity, usually camping each month year round, rain or shine, snow or wind.

In addition to the regular camping we do, we attend summer camp at Henderson Reservation, located between Oneonta and Cooperstown NY.    One other summer activitiy we usually plan, is a canoe trip in the Adirondacks Mountains.  This is a 3 or 4 day trip with camping in lean-tos or tent camping along the way.

The troop has been located in Sidney since 1961.  It originally was sponsored by St. Luke's Lutheran Church and moved to the Congregational Church in 1987.
